Family-Owned Minuteman Press Opens in Victorville, California

The three owners bring diverse backgrounds that combined, make a nice fit for their new design and printing franchise, they say.

Farmingdale, New York-based franchisor Minuteman Press International announces the opening of a new family-run Minuteman Press franchise in Victorville, California.

“We chose to own a Minuteman Press franchise because our skillsets fit right in line with the business,” says Jeremy Hinson, who serves as the general manager and handles graphic design. “My background in graphic design and being in the sign and graphics industry for many years gives me the ability to create designs and products. My mom Jerri (Matthews) has a strong accounting background, which really helps us on the financial side of the business. My stepdad Brian (Matthews) loves to meet new people and has a natural, easy approach that helps us with direct marketing and networking with other local business owners.”

Prior to franchising with Minuteman Press, Jerri Matthews worked as a tax accountant for more than 30 years. She also spent the previous 14 years self-employed with her business partner, Elaine.

“What I really like about the Minuteman Press franchise is the support system, from the regional reps helping us with the initial setup and day to day questions to everyone back at (Minuteman headquarters) helping with our equipment leases, vendors and making sure we have the tools we need to be competitive in our local market,” Jerri Matthews says.

One of the goals of the company’s ownership is to become as involved as possible in the local community there in Victorville, which is located in southern California northeast of Los Angeles.

“We have enjoyed being able to get involved in community events and attending Chamber of Commerce functions,” Jerri Matthews says. “It gives us a whole new perspective on the impact we can make as small business owners. We recently awarded a $500 academic scholarship to a local student, helping them attend college and study law. Having the Minuteman Press franchise allowed us to do this and will continue to allow our family to contribute to our community in meaningful ways.”

Minuteman Press in Victorville, located in the region the locals call the Victor Valley, is at 14176 Amargosa Road, Suite D; Victorville, 92392. It can be reached at 760-245-7990 or on the web at https://victorville-ca.minutemanpress.com.
