Elo Recognizes one of its Customers for Creative Deployment

Interactive screens in some 6,000 stores can be controlled from a single location by using the Elo software.

elo_275x275Milpitas, California-based Elo, a maker of touchscreens used in the digital signage and point-of-sale applications, among others, announces that it recognizes fast food restaurant chain Taco Bell Corp. or “excellence in design and deployment” using its products.

The Mexican food-based restaurant chain has rolled out kiosk ordering capabilities nationwide inside its stores. Its digital strategy, which it calls “All Access,” includes growing and improving customer-geared interactive experiences and enabling access to the brand however the customer desires it-including kiosks, mobile and e-commerce ordering, delivery capability and large group ordering.

“Technology, and new ways of improving access, are enabling us to create a best-in-class in-restaurant digital experience-for both our customers and team members,” says Rafik Hanna, senior director of information technology for Taco Bell Corp. “The Elo team is helping us achieve key components of our digital strategy-providing integrated kiosk solutions and frictionless interactive experiences throughout our restaurants.”

Taco Bell, Elo says, is a well-known technology leader and was first to offer customers order- and pay-ahead functionality through a mobile app. Now they’ve achieved another first in the tier one quick-serve restaurant space: delivering a unified approach to in-restaurant technology built on Elo’s Android-powered architecture. The self-order solution seamlessly extends Taco Bell’s mobile customer experience into the physical restaurant.

Using the EloView software, Taco Bell’s digital upgrades are soon to be in some 6,000 restaurants and all the screens can be managed from a central location.
