EFI Appoints New CEO
Electronics For Imaging (EFI) announces that its board of directors has named Bill D. Muir as the company's new CEO.
FREMONT, Calif.- Electronics For Imaging (EFI) announces that its board of directors has named Bill D. Muir as the company’s new CEO. Muir succeeds Guy Gecht who announced plans to step down in July 2018 once a successor was named.
Muir comes to the role after serving as CEO at Jabil, a product solutions company. His appointment is effective Oct. 15, 2018.
“Bill is going to take EFI to the next level,” says Gecht. “At Jabil his experience and track record included scaling multi-billion dollar businesses, driving execution and setting the firm’s strategic direction. This background uniquely prepares him to be the next CEO of EFI. I look forward to watching him lead EFI and helping him in any way he chooses as the company continues to lead the digital transformation of industries globally where colorful images matter.”
Muir’s 25 years of experience includes a background in complex engineering and manufacturing. Upon his Oct. 15 appointment, Muir also joins EFI’s board of directors.
