MAITLAND, Fla.-Brother International Corporation and Staples sponsor a holiday party for BASE Camp Families at the First United Methodist Church of Winter Park, Florida. The organization serves Central Florida families impacted by oncological and hematological illnesses.
Established in 1982, BASE Camp offers programs like parent support groups, milestone parties, and overnight camps to affected families. Brother says it has been involved with the organization for three years and recently donated $5,000 in support of the programs. At the recent party, the company distributed toys, food, and hosted games for parents and children. More than 20 employees from Brother and Staples participated in the event.
“BASE Camp has supported so many children and their families during these difficult life moments and Brother is happy to partner with Staples in helping them to have a good holiday season,” says Everett Hartman, senior key account manager at Brother. “We plan to continue to do what we can to help BASE Camp in their efforts.”
The event marks a busy holiday season for the company. In early December, Brother coordinated a $2,500 donation to the Helping Hand Home for Children in Austin, Texas.
