S&S Activewear Prepares for Reno Facility Opening
S&S Activewear prepares for the opening of its newest facility in Reno, Nevada.
BOLINGBROOK, Ill.-S&S Activewear prepares for the opening of its newest facility in Reno, Nevada. Initially announced in the Fall of 2018, the warehouse is part of the company’s continued growth and consolidation.
“We’ve been growing since 1989, with expansions to California, New Jersey, Kansas, Texas, and Georgia, and this is by far our biggest yet,” the company states in an announcement.
S&S says the new 800,000-square-foot facility will carry 30 percent more SKUs, three times more inventory, and provide shipping to the entire West Coast. The building also uses solar power to minimize carbon emissions. To tout the opening, S&S has also released an infographic and historical retrospective on crucial points in apparel decoration history.
“Throughout our growth, we’ve always been innovators at heart, trying to find new creative ways of moving the needle forward,” the company states, adding that the infographic and timeline pay homage to “pioneers who’ve helped our industry evolve over the years.”
