Shirt Lab has announced Shirt Lab Vegas, a one-day event on Sept. 22, at the brand-new Stoked on Printing production facility in Las Vegas, with a live virtual option. In-person attendance is capped at 100.

“Almost every shop I talk to has a few online stores,” said Marshall Atkinson, co-founder of Shirt Lab. “What they don’t have is a program. Right now, those stores are just orders that happen to come in online. This event is about turning that idea into recurring revenue, and building systems to make it highly profitable.”

Why this, why now?

Online stores were supposed to be the easy money. For most shops, they’ve become one more thing to babysit, said Ali Banholzer, event speaker and Shirt Lab co-owner. “Most shops don’t stall out with online stores because they lack customers or creativity. They stall because they treat each store like a one-time project instead of a repeatable revenue system. Profitable online stores need a process: choosing the right audience, building the right offer, marketing it consistently, measuring what works, and improving the next launch. When shops have that system, online stores stop being extra work and start becoming a scalable profit center.”

Six sessions include:

  • “Getting the Work: How to Land and Launch More Stores”
    • Speaker: Davis Slagle, BeeGraphix
    • Slagle walks you through the process of building a system for consistently landing better store opportunities.
  • “Converting the Work: Building Stores That Sell”
    • Speaker: Jesse Freeby, Corvallis Custom
    • Freeby will show you ways to build stores that sell on their own without constant management.
  • “Delivering the Work: Fulfillment Without the Chaos”
    • Speaker: Rob Watson, Vantage Apparel
    • Watson will teach you how to create a fulfillment workflow that protects your capacity and margin.
  • “More Profit with the Work: Turn Volume Into Real Profit”
    • Speaker: Alex Phelan, Tri-POD
    • Phelan will cover how to create a pricing and margin strategy that actually works.
  • “Scaling the Work: Systems, AI, and Data”
    • Speaker: Ali Banholzer, Wear Your Spirit Warehouse
    • Banholzer will show you how to build a scalable system for growing your store program.
  • “Reality Check: What’s Actually Working”
    • Roundtable discussion: Slagle, Freeby, Watson, Phelan, and Banholzer.
    • A fun Q&A session that will give you real-world proof of what works and what doesn’t.

Timed for Printing United Expo travel

Shirt Lab Vegas runs the day before the Printing United Expo. “If you’re already flying into Vegas for the Expo, don’t waste that extra day walking a trade show floor cold,” Atkinson said. “Spend it in a room built entirely around online stores. You’ll get more out of the Expo because of it.”

A networking event on Sept. 21, is included with every in-person ticket. A celebration dinner on Sept. 22, capped at 40 attendees, is available as a separate add-on for those who want to keep the conversation going.

Who the Shirt Lab event is for

This event is built for shops that already have stores and are done managing them individually.

  • Shop owners and operators running online stores, or actively launching their store program
  • Production and fulfillment managers responsible for store orders
  • Sales and account managers who own store client relationships

This is not an introduction to online stores. It is designed to teach you how to create a better profit center for your shop that is consistent, predictable, and repeatable.

Registration and pricing

Tickets are $497 for general attendees and $297 for Shirt Lab Tribe members, in person or virtually. Seats are limited to 100 in-person. The event will also be live-streamed. Registration is open now at shirtlabtribe.com/events/las-vegas.
