Crystal D donates 20% of Legacy Gallery award sales
In celebration of it's late founder, Chuch Dahlgren, Crystal D will donate to four nonprofit organizations.

Crystal D, a supplier of crystal awards and gifts, is celebrating its late founder, Chuck Dahlgren’s, birthday this week by making charitable contributions in his honor.
“Chuck deeply believed in the power of giving back, lending a hand, and leaving others better than he found them,” said Jeanne Dahlgren, Chuck’s wife and Crystal D’s president. “It brings me joy to honor him through our Legacy Gallery, and I am grateful for the work these organizations do every day to improve lives around the world.”
Chuck would have turned 73 this year, and Jeanne has chosen to mark the occasion by making the donations to the nonprofits she selected as Legacy Gallery beneficiaries: Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, International Rett Syndrome Foundation, Water for South Sudan, and 4 Paws for Ability.
- Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption — Dave Thomas, founder of the Wendy’s restaurant chain, has helped bring children to adoption through the foster care system for years. His foundation is dedicated to finding forever families for the more than 140,000 children waiting to be adopted from foster care in the U.S. and Canada.
- International Rett Syndrome Foundation — An organization dear to Chuck’s heart — as a close family friend is experiencing Rett syndrome — the foundation is making strides with research breakthroughs. The FDA has approved trials for two therapy drugs to help extend the independent life of the patient so they can live at home longer. This gives hope to the family as well as others affected by Rett syndrome.
- Water for South Sudan — This charity works to address two areas of concern: human life and the environment. Nearly 60% of the population of South Sudan does not have access to clean, safe water — a basic human necessity — which is the key to good health and safety, and also affords communities with additional educational and economic opportunities. Just $2 is enough to provide clean water to one person for an entire year.
- Paws for Ability — This organization has provided more than 18,000 service dogs to children, adults, and veterans with disabilities and special needs. The specially trained canines can help give the gift of independence and safety in any number of ways, including high and low blood sugar detection, mobility, seizure response, tracking, and more. Donations are used to help provide food, veterinary care, and other essentials as Paws for Ability prepares and trains each service dog.
When Crystal D launched the Legacy Gallery in late 2023 as part of its Crystal D Cares giveback program, it did so with the goal of living out the generosity Chuck modeled his entire life. Crystal D has committed to giving 20% of the product total from Legacy Gallery award purchases each year.
“He was an incredibly kind person, and creating the Legacy Gallery was a perfect way to carry on that giving spirit,” Jeanne said. “Thank you also to our customers who have chosen Legacy Gallery awards for celebrating their people. Together, and with Chuck’s spirit around us, the world is a little brighter today.”
