Colormaker Industries officially switched on its 356 solar panels on Friday, Sept. 25. The company welcomed the Federal Member of Parliament for Warringah and champion for renewable energy in Australia, Zali Steggall, to do the honors.

In late July 2019, the company announced it would rely on renewables for 100% of its energy.

“The energy generated by our solar array is enough to power 15-20 homes and will save the production of over 100 tonnes of greenhouse gas per year,” says Colormaker Industries MD, David Stuart.

Additionally, Colormaker ensures the manufacturing of all its PERMASET inks happens under strict conditions where all paper, water, and wastes are recycled.

“Sustainability is something our customer base cares deeply about. We’re delighted that from now on, a little bit of Australian sunshine will be going into every pot of PERMASET, PERMATONE, and PERMAPRINT PREMIUM ink we produce,” Stuart adds.
