What does it mean to be a “customer-centric” business?

To be a customer-centric business, you construct your business around what your customers need and how you can best serve them. Occasionally, you lose a little bit on an order here or there, but you put your future investments into ways that help your customers meet their goals, not your short-term, metric-driven goals. You make the customer the center of your business, the basis of how you and your employees make decisions.
