Penn Emblem Donates Masks to Philadelphia Neighborhood in Need
With proximity to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Penn Emblem is committed to providing protective gear to its neighboring community. With one of the highest overdose rates of any most populous county in America, as well as having a large population of homeless people, the Kensington area of Philadelphia has a growing need for protective masks.
Penn Emblem partners with the producers of the Telly and Emmy nominated documentary ‘Kensington in Crisis’ Jill Frechie, John Ricciutti, and Jon Powell to deliver masks to the Kensington area.
According to Penn Emblem, the neighborhood has an estimated 75,000 residents addicted to heroin and other opioids and an estimated 700 homeless.
The ‘Kensington in Crisis’ documentary was developed to shed light on the issues and solutions faced with opioid addiction and bring awareness and education to this challenging issue.
The news comes after the company recently donated 6,000 masks to schools in Philadelphia and Trenton, New Jersey.
