Moore, a provider of constituent experience management, announced that Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives Dave Johannes has been inducted into the 2024 Printing Industry Hall of Fame.

In its 39th year,  an elite group of industry leaders are annually selected to be inducted into the Printing Industry Hall of Fame who embody innovation and efficiency and have made significant contributions to the printing community.

As a printing, mailing, and operations executive with over forty years of experience, Johannes has always embraced new challenges while revitalizing numerous companies and transforming the mailing and printing industry along the way. Johannes’ experience and expertise in color digital workflow and printing and technology have led to opportunities to serve in several multisite leadership roles.

“I am humbled and honored to be joining such a prestigious group of printing industry leaders with this important acknowledgment,” said Johannes. “Throughout my career, I have always tried to see the future potential of emerging technologies and discover ways to help organizations be more efficient, serve their clients and customers better, and ultimately realize long-term success.”

Notably, during his career, Johannes was credited with pioneering the development of production inkjet printing technology in consultation with Canon and SCREEN, which is widely used to this day. Johannes also led the development of an automated system that analyzed mail volume to create consolidated shipments across multiple customers to get the best transportation costs and postage rates. This resulted in the creation of a program that was adopted by the U.S. Postal Service, which is still currently in use.

“Dave Johannes is an exceptional leader whose innovative spirit and deep expertise have profoundly shaped our industry,” said Jeff Pelcher, CEO of production services at Moore. “Dave’s induction into the Printing Industry Hall of Fame is a well-deserved recognition of his significant contributions and enduring impact on our field.”

Today as executive vice president of strategic initiatives at Moore, Johannes leverages his decades-long experience and expertise in production, technology, and strategic leadership to help drive enhanced fundraising efforts for some of America’s most respected purpose-driven organizations and causes.

“Through Dave’s strategic vision and drive for innovation, he has helped Moore pave the way for incredible growth by leveraging the power of technology,” said Gretchen Littlefield, CEO of Moore. “Moore, the printing industry, and thousands of his clients throughout the years have benefited greatly from his pioneering spirit. Nobody deserves this accolade more than Dave.”
