JDS Industries Raises Over $100K To Support United Way
The company raised the money to aid various organizations that help meet the needs of economically disadvantaged.
JDS Industries, a family-owned wholesaler for awards, personalization, and signs based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, announced its United Way campaign has raised over $100,000 to support various organizations that help meet the needs of economically disadvantaged individuals in its community.
“‘Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.’ This powerful quote from the late Helen Keller perfectly captures the spirit of JDS Industries,” stated the company. “Our corporate headquarters wrapped up the 2024 United Way campaign the way we approach every successful endeavor — together as a team!”
In a time when many are facing financial challenges and charitable donations are on the decline, the JDS team came together with a strong spirit of generosity. JDS said it is proud to have surpassed its contribution goal for the year and had 93% employee participation.
Along with staff pledges, the departments contributed specially created gift baskets that were raffled off, and company-sponsored prizes were awarded to both first-time and returning donors.
CEO Scott Sletten and President Mike May also hosted a special appreciation luncheon for Rising Heart/Heart Club members (those who donated $250 or more) in Sioux Falls.
“We have been long-time supporters of our local United Way. It is great to see our full team get behind helping those in our community who need a helping hand. We are very proud of our JDS team and their caring spirit for our community as well as our customers,” remarked Sletten.
