Big Frog celebrates grand opening on Chicago’s North Shore
Ryan Wilson & Regan Wilson bring custom apparel experience to Bannockburn, Illinois, with a new locally owned & operated store.

Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More, a custom apparel franchise, is officially open on Chicago’s North Shore. The new store, owned by Ryan Wilson and Regan Wilson, held its grand opening on Nov. 5.
“We are excited to see Ryan and Regan open their doors in Bannockburn and bring Big Frog to Chicago’s North Shore,” said Tina Bacon-DeFrece, president and co-founder of Big Frog. “Their enthusiasm for community involvement and exceptional customer service reflects what Big Frog is all about. We’re confident this store will become a trusted resource for custom apparel in the area.”
The Wilsons bring backgrounds in digital advertising and human resources to their new role as Big Frog owners, along with lifelong exposure to entrepreneurship. Regan Wilson grew up in a family that ran a busing company, while Ryan Wilson watched his parents build their own small businesses in engineering and interior design. After exploring business opportunities in the area, they saw a need for a place where customers could walk in, work directly with a designer, and leave with custom-made products—no minimums, no setup fees, and quick turnaround.
“What I love most about this company is that we’re dealing with people in moments of joy,” said Ryan Wilson. “That was a big draw for us. We want our store to feel welcoming and creative, and we’re excited to serve our neighbors, businesses, schools, and nonprofits.”
The Chicago North Shore store provides free design assistance and supports local groups through community partnerships. The Wilsons plan to collaborate with local schools, youth sports programs, camps, and small businesses offering personalized consultation, apparel solutions, and support for local fundraising efforts as part of their commitment to becoming active members of the community.
