Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions announced the addition of two industry veterans, Chris Figueroa and Sergey Yakobchak, to its team of trainers for paint protection film (PPF) training classes.

According to the company, with years of expertise in the PPF, wrap, and graphics field, Figueroa and Yakobchak will make significant contributions to Avery Dennison’s hands-on training programs.

Chris Figueroa founded Bay Image in 2014 in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania, after developing a passion for translating designs into vehicle wraps during his early career at a commercial wrap shop. Over the past decade, Bay Image has grown into a leading restyling business, with Figueroa earning multiple certifications along the way. Joining Avery Dennison as an instructor has been a long-term career goal. Figueroa brings a wealth of experience in vehicle customization and installation to the team.

Located in Troy, Michigan, Sergey Yakobchak founded New Layer Customs in 2017 after years as an independent installer. With his careful focus on PPF, window tint, and automotive wraps installation, Yakobchak has gained industry-wide recognition for his meticulous techniques and commitment to quality installations. That dedication and expertise are said to make him an excellent addition to the Avery Dennison team of professional trainers in this high-growth field.

“We are excited to add Chris and Sergey to our roster of certified trainers,” said Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions Marketing Associate Graeme McKnight. “Their expertise in wrap and PPF products, installation techniques, and industry knowledge will enhance the quality of our training program. They join a team of experienced, independent professionals and shop owners who teach class participants film application and the business of running a shop.”

Avery Dennison paint protection film training classes are designed for both those with no knowledge of PPF and more experienced PPF installers. This instruction provides installers with the knowledge and practice needed to grow their skills in the industry. PPF classes offer participants significant hands-on time, with 90% of the training consisting of live demonstrations and real-world practice on three different cars.
