Combine aluminum tags with other materials to make personalized lucky charms for the new year.
Required materials:
- Aluminum tags, round and large (32mm) in any color
- TroLase 1.6mm in various colors
- TroGlass 3mm in various colors
- Plywood 3mm
- Chain or key ring
Note: TroLase and TroGlass are used in this example, but you can use an equivalent engraving material from another manufacturer.
Machine used:
- Speedy 360 80 watt
- 2″ lens
- Vacuum table with acrylic grid for TroLase and acrylic
- Honeycomb cutting tabletop for wood
Note: For this application sample, you can use any laser machine from the Speedy laser engraver series, or an equivalent from another manufacturer.
Tip: To engrave a whole series of tags, we recommend using a jig.

Step Five: Assembly of tag and charm
To assemble the lucky charm, simply pair the aluminum tag and a pendant of your choice using a bead chain or a keyring. Make this application your own by mixing various colors, materials, and designs.
