SanMar Corporation has announced the creation of a new chief operating officer role and the appointment of Pat Noonan to the position, effective Sept. 13.

The new role reflects the scale of SanMar’s ongoing investment in the infrastructure that supports its customers and industry partners. Over the past several years, SanMar has grown its product catalog and brand portfolio to more than 30 brands, announced expansion plans for automated distribution, and accelerated investment in the technology platforms distributors and decorators rely on every day.

Noonan is a 19-year veteran of SanMar and has served as chief product officer since 2017. His focus on customer satisfaction, innovation and quality has shaped successful brand launches with Mercer+Mettle, and retail brands including Richardson, Carhartt, Brooks Brothers, and MiiR. He also played a central role in SanMar’s recent acquisition of BELLA+CANVAS.

In his new role, Noonan will continue to lead the product organization and will now also oversee information technology, distribution and enterprise resource planning.

“This is a natural next step in strengthening our executive team, and it reflects the trust we have in Noonan’s leadership,” said Jeremy Lott, SanMar president & CEO. “Bringing these functions under one leader will make it easier for these teams to work together, move quickly, and support our customers and each other well.”

Noonan launched his career at SanMar in 2007 as a distribution process manager, later serving as vice president of distribution and enterprise architecture before being named chief product officer. His work led to a wealth of experience in logistics, information technology, and supply chain management, which he’ll bring to his new role as COO.

“Throughout my career, I’ve believed that leadership starts with service,” Noonan said. “I’m honored to step into this new role and help connect the people, processes, and ideas that make a difference for our customers. The opportunity ahead of us is exciting. I’m fortunate to work alongside a dedicated team that’s committed to supporting small businesses and making a positive impact every day.”
