Pointers for Sublimating Glass
Michael Kaminsky of Sublimation101 shares his recommendations
When sublimating glass frames, coasters, crystals, and cutting boards, you do not want to mirror the image. The backs of these items are polymer white-coated, and the images transfers to the back at 400 F for 3 to 5 minutes (heat presses vary, so check with the vendor for recommended time). When making these items, do the same as tile transfer face up on the heat press, white polymer-coated side on top, then press at the allotted time. Remember: these items are extremely hot when complete; Ove Glove or heat gloves are recommended.
Do not mirror image for these glass tiles. The backs are polymer white-coated, and we transfer to the back. (Images courtesy Michael Kaminsky)
