Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More, a custom apparel franchise with over 75 locations nationwide, is expanding its operations in New Jersey. After nearly three decades of climbing the ladder at a large laboratory equipment supplier, Franchise Owner Dave Ackley is pioneering Big Frog’s growth in the state as he works to build a meaningful business for himself.

“Dave is on track to open our second location in New Jersey, and we’re proud to be partnering with an entrepreneur as passionate as he is,” said Big Frog Co-Founder, President, and CEO Tina Bacon-DeFrece. “Dave’s approach to business in his community aligns perfectly with Big Frog’s values, and we’re excited for this next phase of growth.”

Ackley recently secured a site in the township of Washington, New Jersey, noting that there are many other businesses in the area that will benefit from Big Frog’s presence.

“There are tons of small businesses in our area, and I’m hoping to make their lives easier by giving them a real person to talk to about their custom apparel needs instead of just an impersonal online-only process,” explained Ackley. “I’ve been around apparel and printing for years, and Big Frog gives me an opportunity to get involved in my current community with sports teams and other local businesses. I’ve already built many relationships, and I’m working to create additional community connections.”

Each independently owned and operated franchise specializes in direct-to-garment (DTG) printing and also offers direct-to-film (DTF) printing.

Ackley’s growth with the brand is part of Big Frog’s steady nationwide expansion. According to the company, as the franchise grows its footprint, it also increases the impact of its fundraising platform, leveraged by non-profits supporting homelessness relief efforts, animal advocacy, educational outreach, and more.

“I have always loved managing people and developing teams,” stated Ackley. “It is so fulfilling to know that my wife Jill and I will be supporting individuals and organizations in our own community while contributing to a larger, nationwide mission, and we can’t wait to get started.”
