Featured Project: Scooter Company Uses Soofa Signs for Atlanta Campaign

Soofa Signs debuted its solar-powered, wirelessly connected community billboards in 2017.

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Soofa Signs, which debuted what it says is the world’s only solar-powered, wirelessly connected 42″ electronic billboards, has been chosen for Lime‘s “Respect the Ride” campaign across Atlanta.

Lime is the San Francisco-based company that has set up scooter rental stations in cities all across the U.S. and Europe.

Lime was founded on the premise that people in cities everywhere should be able to access affordable transportation, and it provides that through its Lime-S scooters. It has launched a “Respect the Ride” campaign in Atlanta-using Soofa signs-promoting safety: urging riders to wear helmets, obey local laws, park responsibly and to be aware of their surroundings when they are riding.

To get the message out, they partnered with Soofa and had signs placed strategically throughout the city. The signs enable the content to be constantly refreshed but stay in keeping with the overarching theme of the campaign.

“We’re using Soofa Signs in Atlanta to extend our campaign into Atlanta’s most active and walkable neighborhoods, reaching an audience of current riders as well as residents and visitors that may or may not know about our commitment to responsible riding,” says Tony Paske, Lime’s head of field marketing. “With Soofa, we are able to engage with people in the physical locations where our scooters are parked and used, which is an extremely valuable complement to our online strategy and street team efforts. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results.”
