What key details does a shop need before adding a job to the production calendar?

There are a few details printers need before a job can be scheduled and moved into production.

No. 1 on the list is “in-hands date.” Based on a shop’s data, a printer should know about how many jobs it can produce each day. If a client gives a shop a specific date, it can check out the production schedule and determine if it’s able to hit that due date.

If the two parties can agree on a date, then the shop starts to schedule everything. From there, other details a shop needs include:

  • Customer info
  • The design
  • Product
  • Product specs
  • Shipping
  • Payment
