What is important to note about UV printing onto mirrored substrates?

Printing to mirrored substrates is a challenge as light can reflect back into the print head and cause ink to cure before jetting. When printing to materials like that, or those with angled edges, the proper precautions should be taken prior to printing. Specifically, for acrylic or crystal awards with beveled edges, the edges should be taped or masked to cut down on light refraction. It’s an extra step, but it can go a long way in preserving the print head.
