We’re seeing a growth in engraving onto reclaimed or vintage items, such as skis and wooden golf clubs. I see a lot of “barn chic” or tin roof designs used on custom gifts and recognition products.
My suggestion to retailers looking for a special way to recognize someone, commemorate an event, or give a gift: look for a signature item associated with that person, event, or occasion that could be engraved, for example a vintage tennis racquet for a tennis tournament, a net or rod for a fisherman – the list is endless.
