Is it possible to UV print on apparel?

It most certainly is possible. Potential printer owners who are interested in this application should always ask the question about ink safety.

Direct-to-garment (DTG) with UV-LED shines in the decoration of any light garment and the decoration of darker colored polyester or sportswear fabrics. Instead of pretreating with a harsh chemical, DTG only requires a base treatment of water prior to printing garments that require a white underbase.

Note: Direct Color Systems has a patent pending process for printing DTG with UV inks.
