It has become clear that the internet replaced the Yellow Pages a long time ago. “Google it” is now the common, go-to phrase whenever a question presents itself. Even methods of marketing such as coupons have become more effective in digital form.
However, while traditional marketing strategies become more technologically driven, they do still apply when you look at the big picture. If you have a brick-and-mortar storefront, local advertising and good strategies for online local discovery go hand-in-hand for getting customers through the front door. Both online marketing and traditional marketing efforts need to blend in with one another and complement the strategy as a whole.
It is vital to have the online presence for marketing and getting discovered by consumers, but that online presence still has to be advertised in order for it to succeed, and traditional marketing practices help achieve that goal.
