How do you deal with suppliers who send the wrong items and aren’t willing to immediately correct their mistakes?

A vendor-supplier relationship is one of the key relationships in any business. A business is just a series of relationships between people, and this one is no different. You must work with vendors who you trust and have your business’s success in mind.

With that, it is also a two-way street. You must work with suppliers to figure out how to find win-win situations. If you think about it, being in a partnership is so much better for the big picture. So in this situation, you have two choices here:

  1. Explain clearly to your vendor why you need them to fix the issue immediately and work with them to find a mutually beneficial solution that solves the problem, OR
  2. Terminate your relationship with that supplier and find one that matches more closely with your expectations and needs.
