For the remainder of 2020, what types of products should personalization businesses explore?

For the remainder of 2020, I would suggest the same as I always would: explore the products and processes your clients are asking about and those that fit or are being requested in today’s climate.

Regardless of the climate, the summer will be hot, fall will be brisk, and winter will be cold. To me, this says T-shirts, long sleeves, and hoodies.

My approach: seek out the direction your clients want to go then guide them through while introducing them to the many awesome things our industry has to offer along the way. I hesitate to name products and processes because our market, regions, etc. may prefer this, while another may prefer that. My best suggestion, when your clients start talking, listen. This will tell you the types of products and processes you should be exploring.

Listening and observing are two of the greatest weapons in your arsenal. Use them. Listen to your customers, watch for the trends, and keep your eyes on the influencers. Paying attention to what’s going on around you will help you better predict and prepare yourself to offer what your clients want for the remainder of this year.

That said, I do have one prediction. I believe that if the fashion industry can pull it off, masks will be around for a while. This might be one product to keep an eye on.

Here’s to opportunity!
