What advice is recommended for a shop that’s losing business to its competition?

Consider this question: If all it took was for your competitors to offer a lower price to steal the business, were you really taking care of the needs of your best clients?

For me, the cardinal rule of sales acumen is, “People buy from people who they like, trust, and with whom it is convenient.” Period. Ninety-nine percent of the time it is not the price that decides where one shops. If you want to win those accounts back, take a long, hard, honest look at how your customers perceive your likability, trustworthiness, and the convenient ease of shopping with you.
