Mixing Mediums: How to spruce up recognition products with color

Mixing laser engraving with a full-color print can give an award just the pop it needs to stand out.

Customers often create a colorful graphic for an event and will use it in an advertisement or flyer to promote the event. Turning that graphic to black and white may lose much of its power. That’s why mixing laser engraving with a full-color print can give an award just the pop it needs to stand out.

A plaque with lasered text on one plate and the full-color print of the graphic on another provides a premium award. I used a DCS UV printer to create a textured print raising the dark colors. It was quick to do as the textured tool is built-in and the client loved the results.

Another way of adding a little extra color for trophies is using a full-color print insert on the trophy riser.
