Gemline, a supplier in the promotional products industry, announced the expansion and optimization of its warehousing operations.

The company has moved its off-site warehousing from two separate buildings to a single, more efficient facility in Lawrence, Massachusetts, less than a mile from its primary facility, and has expanded its total capacity by greater than 20%.

According to Gemline, this new warehouse will support its growth and allow for a streamlined operation that enhances efficiency and capacity. Gemline has successfully transferred its entire receiving operation to this new location allowing the company to receive 100% of incoming products directly into the new facility.

This new setup is also said to reduce receiving and transit times, ensuring quicker turnaround for customer orders. Importantly, by eliminating the need for multiple off-site transfers, the company says it has significantly cut down on transportation emissions, a move that aligns with Gemline’s betterway commitment to corporate social responsibility.

“This strategic move not only increases our storage capacity but significantly improves our operational efficiency,” said Mike Braley, VP of operations. “By consolidating our warehousing into one nearby location, we have enhanced our ability to manage inventory and supply chain logistics, which will better serve our customers and support our continued growth.”
