What different decoration methods work well together for a mixed-media look?

From my experiences, there are few decoration methods that work well together.

Water-based screen printing and heat transfers work well together because these mediums produce very stark contrasts and offer numerous design possibilities.

Plastisol-based printing and direct-to-garment printing mesh well due to the bold colors, the number of available colors, and possibilities of detail.

Embroidery can work well with most everything because of its application process.

My thoughts are, when creating a mixed-media look, just try it. However, make sure you have thought out your production processes beforehand.

Here’s to experimentation, the mother of everything!
