How To: Textured Prints with a UV Printer

In this video, Steve Weist of PDS Equipment goes through the steps of creating a high-margin print with a UV printer.

To sum it up:

  1. Once you have the image file pulled up on Photoshop, click on the Image tab and turn the image into grayscale. After you make adjustments, save the file as an EPS with the title “Clear plate.”
  2. Return to the original file, save that file as the “Base.” Now you are ready to go into the software.
  3. Open the Base and Clear plate files. On the Job Attribute, change it to Monochrome.
  4. With the Base and Clear plate files layered together, now it is as simple as hitting the button to print.
