WrapStar University Hosts ‘Master The Wrap’ February Training

Workshops will take place Feb. 7-9, 14-16, & Feb. 28-March 1 in select locations.

WrapStar University announces it will be leading “Master The Wrap” workshops throughout February.

Workshop dates and locations include:

  • Feb. 7-9 at WrapStar University in Sacramento, California
  • Feb. 14-16 at The Wrap Gym in Atlanta, Georgia
  • Feb. 28 – March 1 at Applied Graphics & Signs in Chicago, Illinois

According to the company, the intensive three-day Intermediate workshop is designed to turn participants into commercial vehicle wrap experts. Online courses are put on by WrapItRight. Participants will learn from industry leaders, practice with the latest materials, and join a network of skilled professionals.

The workshops will be instructed by Kristin Lanzarone of WrapStar Pro.

Participants will need the following foundational skills:

  • Basic vehicle wrap installation skills: Proficiency in fundamental vehicle wrap installation techniques. Mastery of basic tools and equipment used in vehicle wraps.
  • Minimum experience level: A minimum of 6 months of practical experience in the vehicle wrap industry.
  • Understanding of substrate properties: Knowledge of different vinyl wrap materials and their properties. Understanding of how substrate characteristics can impact the wrapping process.
  • Tool proficiency: Mastery of advanced tools used in vehicle wrap installations. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain tools for optimal performance.
  • Positive attitude and professionalism: Demonstration of a positive and proactive attitude towards learning and collaboration. Willingness to receive constructive feedback and apply it for continuous improvement. Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Training schedule

Day 1: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Introduction to the three levels of coverage: spot graphics, partial wraps, and full wraps
  • Understanding surface preparations in relation to the level of coverage
  • Techniques for handling silicone beads during installations
  • Practical exercises on pre-seaming drills for precise installations
  • In-depth exploration of deep channel techniques
  • Application of post-heating methods for optimal adhesion
  • Discussion and practical exercises on “flite school” techniques
  • Q&A and interactive sessions

Day 2: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Continued exploration of deep channels with a focus on advanced techniques
  • Channel hack techniques
  • Trimmings and precision cutting techniques
  • Hidden seam techniques for a seamless finish
  • Corners and intricate wrap details
  • Hands-on practice with beginning the wrap on a van

Day 3: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Continuation of van wrap, emphasizing practical application of learned techniques
  • Troubleshooting common challenges during the wrapping process
  • Final stages of wrapping the van
  • Evaluation and feedback session
