Vistar Media Names Global Director of Publisher Partnerships

Chris Waterman comes to the company with vast experience globally in out-of-home advertising.

waterman_275New York City-based Vistar Media, an advertising platform that uses geospatial technology to target consumers on their mobile devices and with out-of-home advertising, announces the appointment of Chris Waterman as director of publisher partnerships.

Vistar calls itself an early pioneer of programmatic buying for digital out-of-home media, bringing the power of data science and automation to publishers and media owners around the globe. Through Vistar’s platform, publishers can connect with buyers directly for both exchange and PMP transactions. Waterman brings more than a decade of digital media strategy, programmatic technology and business expertise to Vistar, where he will oversee publisher partnerships globally, with a focus on fast-growing markets including the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Before joining Vistar, Waterman was senior director of sales at Rubicon Project, where he led global efforts for digital out-of-home, specifically in North America, and expansion into Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Latin America. Prior to Rubicon, Waterman was a trading platforms executive at Fairfax Media, focusing on revenue strategy and the DRX advertising platform.
