GREENSBORO, N.C.-Unifi makes leadership changes in multiple departments. The company names Albert (“Al”) P. Carey as executive chairman and announces the resignation of CEO Kevin Hall.
Additionally, Unifi says it appoints Thomas H. Caudle, Jr. as the company’s principal executive officer. Caudle previously served as the company’s principal executive officer from April 2016-May 2017 and will continue to serve as a director, president, and chief operating officer of the Company. Carey presently serves as CEO of PepsiCo North America and expects to retire at the end of March 2019. Regarding Hall’s resignation, Unifi says that the company and Hall have “mutually agreed that Mr. Hall would resign as the company’s Chief Executive Officer and as a director of Unifi, both effective immediately.”

In a comment issued with the announcement, The Board of Directors state “we are grateful to Kevin for his service and leadership of Unifi over the past two years. We thank Kevin for his contributions, hard work, and dedication, and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
Carey adds that he and the company’s board “remain focused on enhancing performance and delivering value for customers, shareholders, and employees.”
“(Caudle) and I will be working very hard in the coming weeks to drive superior execution of the company’s strategic plan and look forward to helping Unifi grow its business and capitalize on its strategic vision,” states Carey.
The news follows other recent announcements on leadership at the company. In Jan. 2019, Unifi announced the appointment of Carey as non-executive chairman of the Board of Directors.
