US Secretary of Commerce Recognizes Sign Manufacturer

In March, Howard Industries was deemed an essential business, supplying wholesale architectural signage products to the industry. Within two weeks of that declaration, the company designed, marketed, and began mass-producing a social barrier product line called SGuards Essential Wellness Shields.

The product line offers protection in “employee to employee” and “employee to customer”
interaction environments.

An Erie, Pennsylvania TV station picked up the story as a local manufacturer shifting to COVID-19 related production, catching the attention of the US Department of Commerce.

As a result, on July 1, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross visited and toured Howard Industries to review production and discuss the company’s success at designing and distributing this new product line during the pandemic.
