TVF Industry Veteran Retires After 25 Years
Ken Siecinski, long-time employee and industry veteran, retires from the TVF team
TVF, a fabric supplier, announces that long-time employee and industry veteran Ken Siecinski has retired from its team.
Ken’s career in textiles began at Howe & Bainbridge — a sailcloth, marine, and outdoor textile distributor headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts — working in their Newport Beach, California location. According to the company, it was in this role that Siecinski honed his skills within the apparel market, supplying fabrics to the surf and snowboard industry. He started with TVF in 1996 and lead its apparel program. Over a span of 25 years, the company says he helped build one of TVF’s most successful programs to date.
“Not only was Ken a leader and mentor from a technical perspective he was also a cultural leader at TVF,” says TVF CEO Chris Fredericks. “We’re going to miss him immensely, and we’re grateful for the 25 years he gave to TVF. He was a big factor in growing our business over the years, and we’re excited for him to enjoy the next chapter of his life,” adds Fredericks.
“The most gratifying moments for me were seeing people succeed,” remarks Siencinski. “If I had a part in it, even better! It could be choosing the right fabric for a customer or educating someone on the technical properties of a textile fabric. I loved learning all I could about fabrics — I’ll miss that journey of learning and sharing most of all.”
“After 42 years in the textile business and the last 25 years at TVF I can truly say it has been a great ride. I cannot say enough of how proud I am to have worked with such a great group of people at TVF — I consider them my friends forever. My time at TVF taught me you should always hold yourself accountable, focus on improvement, and most importantly find time and take great joy from helping others around you succeed.”
Ken adds that he looks forward to spending time surfing and hiking together with his two sons, Jeff and Scott.
