APOPKA, Fla.-Tubelite celebrates the retirement of long-time employee Jim Turner. The company recognized Turner during a national sales meeting and team outing near company headquarters in Orlando, Florida.

Already armed with a background in the sign and installation business, Turner’s career with Tubelite began in 1991 when he joined the company as manager of the Charlotte, North Carolina branch office. Turner grew the Charlotte business, and Tubelite credits him with moving the business into a company-owned location. Turner later transferred to company headquarters in 1996 where he served as vice president of sales for 24 years.

“(Turner) has been instrumental in the growth and the innovations that Tubelite has strived to attain since then,” says Tubelite in a press release. “Jim’s insights in the manufacturing side of the industry led to him being sought after to share his knowledge with the industry leaders and to increase their profitability with his innovative ideas. We certainly will miss him.”

With Turner’s retirement, Tubelite names Larry Markert as the new vice president of sales. Markert comes to the role with more than 30 years of experience in the sign industry.

“Markert will offer Tubelite great leadership and experience to continue to grow our business,” says Tubelite.
