Something Inked, a Tennessee-based branding and merchandise company, joins the AIA Corporation's (AIA) distributor network.
NASHVILLE-Something Inked, a Tennessee-based branding and merchandise company, joins the AIA Corporation’s (AIA) distributor network. Both organizations announced the agreement in joint press releases on Nov. 5.
Headquartered in Neenah, Wisconsin, AIA is a promotional products distributor with more than 300 franchise distributors nationwide and more than 3,000 suppliers. Something Inked heads up various largescale merchandising and decorated apparel campaigns for the MLB, NBA, and NHL. The company says its client roster with the NHL and NBA includes approximately 95 percent of both leagues and cites more than $40 million in overall wholesale sales.
“Our focus has always been our strong relationships with customers. Anyone can sell merchandise, but it’s the service we provide that keeps them coming back, and for us, that’s a point of pride,” says Oliver Landry, president of Something Inked. “We were attracted to AIA because we could retain our independence, while still benefiting from their investments in forward-thinking technology, sales support, and a shared vision for the future of our industry, all to continue to provide our customers with the best service and products.”
Something Ink operations feature a workforce of more than 125 employees with 57,000 square feet of warehouse space. The company says it sees more growth through joining AIA’s network, including a 40,000 sq.-ft. expansion and the addition of 50 more employees.
“Expansion is the name of the game,” says Bill Feldberg, vice president of business development at Something Inked. “Given our history with sports teams and the entertainment industry, this new partnership allows us to handle more licensed products and increase our retail position.”
