Following the devastating floods that swept through Texas Hill Country earlier this month, Signarama franchisees from across the country came together to show support and contribute to affected communities. At the center of this initiative are Matt Mattingly and Kelly Mattingly, owners of Signarama San Antonio NW and San Antonio Downtown.
For Matt Mattingly, this effort is personal. A native of Kerrville, he still has family and friends feeling the aftermath of the flooding. He wanted to make an impact and help how he could. Matt Mattingly and Kelly Mattingly launched the Hill Country Strong campaign — an initiative that started with a simple idea: designing, printing, and selling custom yard signs to raise funds for local flood relief efforts. What began as a small act of compassion quickly became a large-scale movement, both in their local area and in the Signarama network.
In just a few days, their stores printed and distributed hundreds of “Hill Country Strong” signs throughout Boerne, Texas, and surrounding communities. Proceeds from the sales went directly to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, supporting victims and families impacted by the floods. The initial print run sold out almost immediately, signaling the community’s desire to support their neighbors.

Recognizing the overwhelming demand and ongoing need, Matt Mattingly and Kelly Mattingly tapped into the Signarama network — and the response has been incredible. Franchisees from across the U.S., including locations in Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Washington, Wisconsin, and other areas in Texas, downloaded the artwork and started producing signs in their own shops and shipping them to Signarama San Antonio NW. This national effort turned hundreds of signs into thousands of signs within a week, amplifying both donations and awareness.
“This initiative showcases the power of the Signarama family — it shows what’s possible when local business owners unite behind a common cause,” stated the company in a blog post. “With each sign printed and put around town, the message was clear: Hill Country is strong, and help is here.”
Through ongoing efforts, the Community Foundation has raised over $30 million so far for flood relief. As Hill Country continues to recover, Signarama remains committed to being a part of the solution — providing not just signs, but hope and support.
