Rowmark achieves UL certificate of compliance
Rowmark's Safe-T-Mark earned Underwriters Laboratories (UL) safety certification.
Rowmark announced that Safe-T-Mark sheet products with black core color combinations have recently received Underwriters Laboratories (UL) safety certification UL94-V0 Flame Retardant Yellow Card E354751 in the U.S. and Canada.
The following Safe-T-Mark color combinations are UL94-V0 approved: vibrant orange/black, yellow/black, white/black, and grey/black.
UL is a global independent safety science company with over a century of experience in strategically developing standards to measure and validate businesses’ safety, performance, environmental health, and sustainability within a wide variety of industries.
UL certification is said to mean that Rowmark is continuing its commitment to safety, product performance, and quality for customers through compliance with UL’s strict safety standards and adherence to an extensive certification process.
Rowmark’s Safe-T-Mark (black core) material has passed UL’s strict flammability testing under the UL94- V0 standard. UL94-V0 certifies that a plastic material is approved for use in parts for devices and appliances based on flammability testing, while horizontal and vertical approval indicates that a product performs within UL’s specified burn rate maximum in a horizontal and vertical position.
Traditionally, yellow printed cards were used to certify that components or products were UL approved. Now, all Yellow Cards are available in an electronic format via UL’s online certifications directory.
