In 2019, Printful, a custom on-demand printing company, reached $116 million in revenue. The company opened an office in Spain and expanded its fulfillment centers in the U.S. and Latvia, while also growing its team to more than 800 people.

Currently, the total square footage of the facilities in the U.S., Mexico, Spain, and Latvia reaches almost 269,000 square feet. Recently, a new facility was opened in the Barcelona region and is currently working in test mode.

During the past year, Printful has implemented integrations with various e-commerce platforms, including Bonanza, Magento, Wish, and Wix.

In 2019, Printful expanded its offerings to 230 products, with options available for printing, embroidery, or engraving. With its product array, the company hit its goal of printing 10 million products.

In March 2020, the U.S. and many other countries have taken safety measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. These measures have shown to impact the U.S. and worldwide economic growth significantly. Initially, the demand for goods and services decreased, but it is now experiencing a rapid increase. To keep up, Printful plans to purchase additional equipment for $3.9 million.

Davis Siksnans, the co-founder and CEO of Printful, comments that “Printful management is following the guidance from the local and global authorities to ensure the health and safety of the employees.”

Siksans continues, explaining that despite the pandemic, Printful is experiencing high order volumes similar to peak sales times like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Printful also plans to open a roughly 31,000-square-foot facility in Mississauga, Ontario, with production expected to start by the end of 2020. The new location is the company’s first facility in Canada and seventh worldwide. Its initial investment will be $2.8 million CAD (cash available for distribution) and plans to grow its Canadian team to 50 people in their first three years of operation.

Printful expects that with the new facility, it can cut shipping time down from nine days to two days in Ontario, and four days in most other provinces.

Printful will start by fulfilling direct-to-garment (DTG) and embroidered hats and apparel, and its product offering in Canada will develop over time.

“With one of the most skilled and diverse workforces in the world, Mississauga is a top destination for business,” says Mississauga Mayor, Bonnie Crombie. “Printful’s investment is a testament to Mississauga’s strong position on the innovation corridor and the attractiveness of our city to international companies. I’m delighted to welcome Printful to Mississauga!”

The company is now looking to hire an operations manager to help launch and lead the new facility. It invites all interested candidates to apply through here.
