The Warrendale, Pennsylvania-based nonprofit Printing Industries of America, an advocacy organization dedicated to the advancement of the graphic communications industries worldwide, is seeking nominations for the Lewis Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award and the Naomi Berber Memorial Award.

Established in 1950 and named after industry pioneer Abraham Lewis, The Lewis Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award pays homage to business leaders who have made major, long-term contributions to the graphic arts industry and have been a significant force in shaping the business of printed communications. The award is recognized as the highest honor an individual can win in the graphic arts industry. Nominees should be widely recognized as industry leaders and have a record of participating in local and national professional activities. The Naomi Berber Memorial Award is the only award honoring the outstanding contributions of women in the graphic communications industry. The award is named for Naomi Berber, the first administrative director of Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (now a part of PIA). Nominees should show an outstanding dedication to the graphic communications industry and have a record of accomplishments that demonstrate her contribution toward the development of the industry. Nominations must be submitted by July 31, 2019. Both winners will be recognized at Printing Industries of America’s fall administrative meeting, which will be November 15-17 in Houston, Texas.
