P. Graham Dunn Opens New Location in Canton

The new retail space opened on November 1, 2019.

Canton, Ohio, a town known for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is also now home to a new retail location for P. Graham Dunn. The gift and home décor manufacturer opened its new space to the public on November 1, 2019.

“In an era where gifts, books, and Bibles are being purchased online, we understand that in-store experience is paramount when drawing shoppers into a brick-and-mortar location,” says Andy Yost, vice president of sales at P. Graham Dunn. “By opening a store in Canton, we are hoping to emulate the same experience shoppers get when they visit our Dalton corporate store – one that evokes inspiration, joy, and hope, and provides an atmosphere of peace and calmness; a respite in the busy-ness of life.”

Before P. Graham Dunn moved in, the space was occupied by Lifeway Christian Stores and, before that, Berean Christian Bookstore. According to the company, Berean was one of the first customers of P. Graham Dunn. When Lifeway Christian Store closed this location, P. Graham Dunn saw it as an opportunity to fill a gap in the market, serve the Canton community, and fill the void left by the departure of the Christian bookstores.

The process to open the new location happened in less than six weeks. P. Graham Dunn explains that it felt it crucial to open by the beginning of November to help capture the holiday shoppers.

“We are excited about this new venture – it provides us the opportunity to reopen a retail location that has served the city of Canton for over 40 years,” says Anthony Burdette, vice president of marketing and product development at P. Graham Dunn. “We understand the importance of local business and hope that this new storefront will not only be a destination for our locally produced décor and gifts, but also a place of inspiration, encouragement, and togetherness for the people of Canton and its surrounding communities.”

Customers can shop at the Canton store Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. According to the company, the store offers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, with features such as an interactive children’s area, where kids can play while parents shop. On-the-spot personalized gifts are also offered for last-minute shoppers and those seeking a memorable item. Bargain shoppers are able to shop the Factory Outlet to purchase discounted overstocked, discontinued, and unfinished merchandise.

P. Graham Dunn states on its website that the continued growth is a result of newly developed sales channels and product categories beyond inspirational décor. Other recent changes include the Dunn family selling the company to its employees in September of this year

In addition to the Canton and Dalton locations, the company has two other locations that operate as separate entities and have the right to use the P. Graham Dunn name in Walnut Creek, Ohio and Branson, Missouri.
