Next Level Apparel Names New Co-CEO

Randy Hales Next Level Apparel

Next Level Apparel announces that Randall Hales joins the company as co-CEO along with Joe Simsolo. Simsolo transitions out of the company’s day-to-day management sometime during 2021. He will continue to stay connected to the business as an advisor, board member, and shareholder.

“We are excited that Randy will serve as our new CEO,” says Simsolo. “The experience and knowledge that Randy brings to our company will certainly enhance our ability to provide customers with not only the best products but also the best service in the industry.”

Hales is a seasoned executive and has served as the president and CEO of First Scientific (pharmaceutical), Back to Basics Inc. (kitchen appliances), Mity Enterprises Inc. (furniture systems), and ZAGG Inc. (mobile accessories).

During his seven years at ZAGG, the company grew from an entrepreneurial startup to over half a billion in worldwide revenues.

Hales brings business experience in leadership, strategic planning and execution, business development, manufacturing, product management, marketing, sales, and global operations. His experience includes leading both private equity-backed ventures and public companies.

“I feel very fortunate to be joining the Next Level team to build on the current momentum and help the company achieve its goals,” Hales says. “Innovative products, targeted distribution, and enhanced service will be key drivers of revenue and profitability as the company continues to grow.”

During his career, he has been recognized as the CEO of the Year 2018 (ZAGG Inc.); Utah Manufacturer of the Year 2010, 2008 (Mity Enterprises Inc.); Inc. 500 Magazine’s Fastest Growing Companies in 2005, 2004, and 2003 (Back to Basics Inc.); and Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004 (Back to Basics Inc.).

In addition to his executive tenure, he has served on 16 boards across various industries and since 2013 has been recognized as an NACD Fellow (National Association of Corporate Directors).
