New Hires and Promotions: Crystal D, IKONICS, OMG, Reece Supply Company

Crystal D, a supplier of corporate awards and gifts, promotes two and hires seven to support company growth.

Eric Wiberg has been promoted to customer service manager from his role as order manager for the Northeast territory. Wiberg now leads a growing customer service team. The company promotes Dee Xiong to order manager from her role as an order entry specialist. Xiong takes over Wiberg’s former territory, managing orders in the Northeast.

Adam Bjerke has been hired as the executive vice president of sales. Bjerke oversees the inbound and outbound sales teams and is responsible for ongoing sales strategies. Crystal D brings Todd Phillips on as the vice president of business development. Phillips is responsible for growing and leading the outbound business development team. Kalee Heinzman has been hired as the solutions manager. Heinzman is responsible for growing and leading the inbound solutions team.

Taylor Bogdanske and Stephanie Maday have been hired as business development managers. Bogdanske and Maday are responsible for bringing in new business and building relationships with new and existing customers. Christine LaPean and Tim McGuire have been hired as order entry specialists in the customer service department. LaPean and McGuire are responsible for entering all incoming purchase orders.

“Despite an unusual year in 2020, Crystal D is seeing growth,” says president Chuck Dahlgren. “The need to expand our sales and customer service teams means we’re trending in the right direction. These new memory makers are proving to be a great fit for our company, and our customers will love working with all of them. I’m excited to see how our company will progress in 2021.”

IKONICS Corporation, a Duluth, Minnesota-based imaging technology company, promotes Mikaela Hernesman to the position of marketing manager. Hernesman joined IKONICS in 2018 as inside sales for IKONICS Imaging and event coordinator for all IKONICS divisions. Hernesman assisted as inside sales for Chromaline in 2019. Her primary duties include producing content, managing digital marketing efforts, and growing the IKONICS brand.

Hernesman states, “I am very pleased with the promotion after such a short period of time being employed with IKONICS. I’m so grateful and look forward to developing new methods and products with such an amazing team of people.”

OrderMyGear (OMG), an eCommerce platform provider, promotes Matt Kaplan “Kap” as its first president. As president, Kaplan leads OMG’s global sales organization, account management, brand partnerships, and marketing.

Under Kaplan’s leadership throughout the past three years, he prioritized growing OMG’s client base by more than 50% while expanding into new markets and securing large enterprise partnerships in the promotional products and team sporting goods industries.

“He is a remarkable leader, and his promotion to president is just formalizing what everyone already recognizes,” says OMG CEO Dave Dutch. “I know I share the sentiment with my fellow OMG’ers and our clients that there’s no one better than Kaplan to take us to new heights in this next phase of growth.”

Reece Supply Company welcomes Steve Lowry to its screen printing team. Lowry comes from Rutland Plastic Technology Group, bringing his 23 years of industry experience where he worked as an advanced screen print technician. His position at Reece Supply focuses directly on customer success in all regards, technical assistance, and sales.

“Having spent much of my life feeding my passion for screen printing on both the production and development sides of the industry, it just made perfect sense to join Reece Supply. I’m excited to share my print knowledge as well as information about new products, techniques, and services to help our customers succeed and grow!” says Lowry.
