Canon Solutions America Inc., a subsidiary of Canon U.S.A. Inc., announces several executive promotions.

Julia McMahon
Julia McMahon

Julie McMahon is promoted to senior vice president of marketing, sales operations, and business development. In her new role, McMahon takes on strategic pricing and global managed services marketing in addition to her current marketing technology, product, and field marketing functions. She celebrates her 26th anniversary with the organization in June.

Traci Spero is promoted to vice president of human resources, leading the company’s talent acquisition, career development, and employee engagement efforts. Steve Baratta is now the vice president of production print solutions service, responsible for the nationwide production and large-format service organizations. Enrico Fiannaca is promoted to vice president of enterprise professional services, leading the national and field efforts to support Canon Solutions America’s software sales and professional services.

Richard “Rick” Ranft is now the vice president of enterprise managed services division national operations, focusing on client service delivery, customer satisfaction, customer retention, and employee development and success. Anthony “Tony” Marino is promoted to vice president of legal, focusing on automating the company’s contracting processes and contracts to launch new product offerings.

Cap America Inc. names Lauren Allen as its national sales manager. Allen has 10 years of experience within the promotional products industry. In her role, she is responsible for establishing and maintaining sales in line with company goals. She has a background focused on managing client relationships and strengthening customer retention.

Allen reports to Cap America’s director of sales, Grace Schettler, who states, “Her demonstrated record of success will be extremely beneficial as we move into the sporting goods market and look to expand our presence within the promotional products industry.”

Chris Quinn

General Formulations, a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive films, announces Chris Quinn as the new Midwest U.S. regional sales manager, replacing recent retiree Tom Wenzel.

Quinn brings a background in sales and account management with over 25 years of experience from industry-leading companies, including MacDermid Graphics Solutions, Veritiv Corporation, and Pitman Company. Working under the VP of sales Scott Spagnolli, Quinn is responsible for managing sales activities in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Michael Cornicello

Marco Awards Group creates a new division that handles the needs of the awards retailer to order completed awards for their customers. Michael Cornicello, previously a regional Northeast sales manager, now heads the fulfillment division.

Cornicello brings over 25 years of awards design and build expertise to this division and is responsible for creating various types of awards using direct-to-substrate printing, sublimation, white transfer printing, laser engraving, sandblasting, and rotary engraving.  His team can design and build from one to hundreds of awards for a retailer order. The company launched the fulfillment division to complement a retailers’ capabilities during busy times or be the award building arm for a retailer.

Brian Ewing
Brian Ewing

Universal Woods (UW), a manufacturer of hard-surface coated substrates for the dye-sublimation printing industry, announces the hire of Brian Ewing as senior vice president of sales for North America. Ewing is responsible for leading UW’s sales team, developing new business opportunities, and facilitating long-term business relationships.

The role is transitioning with assistance from longtime leader Tobe Hall, who is moving to another executive position developing industry partnerships for UW. Ewing’s career history includes sales and marketing leadership positions with Black & Decker, Philips Electronics, Otterbox, and smart home innovation startups Rachio and Notion. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, Bloomington.
