New Hires and Promotions: Action Engineering, Cap America, FLEXcon Company

Action Engineering, a manufacturer of screen printing production accessories, announces the hiring of Marcia Derryberry, former editor in chief of Impressions magazine. Derryberry joins the Action Engineering team as the director of marketing and sales.
Derryberry has more than 30 years of experience within apparel decorating and apparel trends.
An announcement from the company states, “We’re all very excited about your addition to our team. We look forward to many years of working together as we continue to innovate and develop new ideas for our industry.”
Cap America Inc. announces the promotion of Danni Hamby to assistant purchasing manager, reporting to senior purchasing and inventory control manager Patty Henderson.
Hamby joined Cap America in 2011 in the company’s order entry department. After gaining knowledge of the industry and product line, she moved to the customer service department, receiving a promotion to account executive in 2016.

She brings efficiency and dedication into a part of our organization that has become increasingly demanding with the level of growth we have experienced.”
FLEXcon Company, a provider in adhesive coating and laminating, welcomes Kara Weiner to the company as the new chief operations officer, FLEXcon North America.
Weiner brings knowledge in manufacturing, engineering, quality, plant management, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and operations analysis to her role. She most recently served as VP of operations at Stratasys. Previously, she served as a lean six sigma manager for 3M Company.
“Kara is an experienced change leader who will work collaboratively with managers and team members to improve operational efficiency,” says FLEXcon North America president Lavon Winkler. “She will also focus on employee development with a team-oriented mindset to facilitate problem-solving and improvements across all of FLEXcon manufacturing, resulting in improved outcomes for our customers.”
