Shawnee, Kansas-based Nazdar Ink Technologies, a developer and manufacturer of UV-cureable, water-based and solvent-based wide-format digital inkjet, screen-printing and flexographic inks, announces the appointment of Martin Burns to business development manager for OEM inks. Burns returns to the company after a short stint with another industry manufacturer.

In his new role, Burns is responsible for the development of new OEM business and the management of the existing business in key segments.

“We are excited to have Martin rejoin our team and look forward to his continued positive contributions to Nazdar,” says James MacDonald, vice president of marketing at Nazdar.

Burns comes to the position with 16 prior years of experience at the company. Nazdar credits him as integral to “managing the entire product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles while working closely with research and development, manufacturing and sales departments.” Burns previously served as digital market sector manager for the organization’s EMEA and ASPAC regions, where he was responsible for the global management of wide and super-wide solvent and aqueous products. Burns also assisted the coordination of product management for wide and super-wide UV technology.

“It really is a pleasure to be back at Nazdar at a time when we have so many positive things happening in our OEM business around the world,” says Burns. “I look forward to this new opportunity at Nazdar and being part of a great team.”
