Miller Weldmaster Makes Donation to Stark County Humane Society
The bulk of the donation will feed shelter dogs for three months
Miller Weldmaster announces its donation to the Stark County Humane Society (SCHS). For the second year in a row, the Weldmaster team came together for a worthy cause. Miller Weldmaster set up a giving tree in the shop for teammates to grab ornaments, each naming an item from the shelter’s wishlist.
This year there was an addition: an entire pallet of dog food. Brian Henry, VP of international sales at Miller Weldmaster, made a donation request to a customer, Red Collar Pet Foods, which offered 21 bags of food—weighing in at over 1,000 pounds. Henry then procured and paid for the transport of the food to company headquarters in Navarre, Ohio.
“Rescue organizations are so important to us at Miller Weldmaster. We believe that all pets, no matter what the circumstance, deserve a safe and happy home,” says Henry. “One of Miller Weldmaster’s core values is to support our community. We are blessed to be able to contribute to a worthy organization like the SCHS.”
The Humane Society is a nonprofit organization serving the human and animal population of Stark County, Ohio. Besides providing a haven for the unwanted dogs and cats in the community, it finds new and loving homes for them. It also conducts humane education programs in K-12 schools and takes pets to area nursing homes to visit the elderly.
“We would like to send a huge thank you to Miller Weldmaster for their wonderful donations for our furry friends here at the shelter,” adds a representative for SCHS.
