Marabu North America Opens Ontario Branch Office

The company says the new office was necessary to meet the growing demand in Canada for its products. It will also distribute there for the Italian fabric company SAATI.

marabu_275x275Marabu North America, Charleston, South Carolina-based maker of screen, digital and pad inks and coatings, announces the opening of a new branch office in Mississauga, Ontario. The new location houses sales, support and warehousing facilities.

The company says its move to expand in Canada comes from “a growing number of customers north of the U.S. border” which seek Marabu products. In addition to offering the full portfolio of products to the Canadian market, Marabu has also been appointed as the official distributor for Italy-based SAATI in the country. This includes SAATI’s full lines of mesh, chemicals, equipment, and accessories developed for screen printing.

“We are very pleased to answer the call of our customers to expand our presence, offering products and support directly to the Canadian market,” says Bob Keller, general manager of Marabu North America. “The establishment of local stock and technical resources will further our commitment as a proactive partner to our printing customers.

Through adding SAATI’s products, Keller adds that Marabu now offers “a complete screen-printing solution all under one roof” at the Canadian location.

As part of the opening, the company names Malcolm White as branch manager for the Mississauga office.

“I’m excited to be leading the effort to grow our presence in the Canadian market,” says White. “I’m based in Ontario and have been focusing on Marabu’s digital portfolio since 2015. Participating in the level of growth necessary to justify a new facility has been a very rewarding experience.”

In addition to its North American footprint, the new location grows Marabu’s extensive international network. The company employs more than 440 people worldwide with distribution partners in more than 70 countries.
